Chapter 3
Megan woke up to the sun shining in her face. She got up and walking downstairs. She walked into the kitchen and took down a box of cereal.
"Hi" a raspy voice said
"Oh shit!"she said jumping back
The man laughed lightly, "I'm Aj, a friend of Kevin's"
"Oh hi" She said, "I'm just a little jumpy"
"No problem"
"So how'd you get in here?"
"I have a key. We have rehearals and I'm pickin up Kev" he said adjusting his cowboy hat
"Oh" she nodded.
"So how do you like it here?"
"I hate it"
"You do?" He asked sitting at the table
"Yea, I have to get used to it I guess"
"Yea, but you'll have lot's of fun hanging with Kev"
"I don't think so..."
"Why not?"
"Cause he already grounded me"
"Damn, girl, you've only been here one day"
"I know, but he doesn't like me"
"Of course he does, you're his sister"
"god-sister" she corrected
"Same thing" Aj said
She shrugged as Kevin came into the kitchen
"Oh hey Bone, I'll be ready in a minute"
"K" Aj nodded as kevin went back upstairs, "You gonna come with us?"
"No"
"Well you should, it's a lot of fun, you can see us do the concert and everything?"
"is it just a rehersal?"
"Yea"
"I guess..." she said getting up. She went upstairs and got dressed in a pair of black capris and a yellow tank top. She took out her matching yellow visor and combed her hair before putting on the visor. She walked back downstairs.
"Nice choice of color" Aj said
"You don't like it?"
"yea, I love yellow"
"Ok" she grinned. Kevin and Vic came down a second later.
"Are you a dancer?" Megan asked Vic realizing her sporty outfit
"Yea" Vic nodded
"Alright, let's bounce" Kevin said
Everybody got up and followed AJ out to his Expedition.

"You have to meet Fatima, she's our choreographer, she's hella tight" AJ said dragging Megan over to Fatima, "Fatima, this is that girl we told you about, you know Kevin's sister"
"Oh hey girl, what's up?"
"Nothin" she said looking around the dance hall.
"Ok, people lets get started and stand in your places" Fatima called as Megan went to sit in a chair. "Wait, we're missing Nicole"
"Oh, she's not coming back" Someone said quietly
"What!" Fatima exclaimed
"Well, see" Marisa, a dancer said standing up from streching, "She said that she didn't like how one of the boys treated her, so she quit"
The boys all looked at each other and shrugged.
"Well did she say who?" Fatima asked taking out a folder
"No, but if you called her she'd probably tell you"
Fatima nodded while playing a CD, "Here, practice the songs as they come in order" she siad as "Larger Than Life" started. She walked out of the room

"Nick" Fatima called, " I need to talk to you"
Nick stopped dancing and walked into the room with Fatima
"Exactly what did you say to Nicole?"
"Nothing" He lied
"Don't lie to me Nick, this is serious"
"All I said was that she was a hoe and that I didn't want her anyway"
"Why did you do that?"
"Because she was a bitch to me when I was trying to talk to her"
"You know what Nick, this is all your fault. This tour starts in two weeks and I'm short a dancer because of you"
"Well get her back"
"She wont come back, she already has another job"
"Well, sorry" Nick said, "Anyway, can't you just dance until we get somebody new?"
"No Nick, I have too much stuff to do. Just get out of my office"
Nick got up and left before she could yell at him again.
Fatima sighed while standing up she looked through the Mirror and saw Victoria showing Megan one of the dances that they were doing. "She's pretty good" Faitma walked out into the Hall as everyone stopped
"Alright Yall, now since Nick has ran off one of my girls, I need a new dancer. And since the tour starts so soon, I need one now. Megan, how old are you?"
"Oh, I'll be 16 tommorow" she said
Fatima bit her lip while looking at Kevin, "You wanna let her be a dancer?"
"Isn't she too young?"
"Not if I get your permission. She 's gonna be on tour anyway, why not give her something to do?"
"Do you want to be a dancer?" Kevin asked Megan
"Yea" she nodded looking hopeful
"Good, then it's set, have you ever taken classes before?"
"Yea, my grandma put me in hip hop and ballet classes"
"Perfect, now Swoop and Vic can you teach her some of the dances?"
"Which ones?"
"Start from the beggening"
"Ok," they nodded walking off to a corner

"Damn girl" AJ said, "You should have sain you had rythm"
Megan laughed while taking a drink of water, "Ok how many more dances do I have to learn?"
"Only two," He said grabbing his bag, "But it's over now so you can learn those tommorow"
She nodded as Nick came up to them
"So what are you doing for your birthday?"
"Nothing" she said
"Oh come on, you mean Kevin hasn't planned anything for you?"
"No, but it's ok, cause it's only 16"
"Only 16, isn't that they big year for a girl?" Nick asked
"Well yea, but I don't mind"
"Well sweetie, we'll do something" Aj said, "But now, I'm going shopping"
"Aight" Nick said, "See ya'll tommorow"
"Bye Aj" Megan said walking twards Kevin
"You wanna go shopping?" he asked her.
"Oh, no, I can't"
"Why not?"
"I'm grounded" she said looking over at Kevin
"Oh, he wont care, c'mon" he said walking with her over to Kevin and Victoria.
"You ready, hun?", Victoria asked
"Can she come shopping with me?" Aj asked
"No, she's still grounded" Kevin said
"Yea, she can go" Victoria said.
"Great" Aj smiled
"I said no" Kevin said
"See, AJ, I told you" she said blinking the tears away and looking confused.
"Honny, you can go" Victora said
"No, I really didn't wanna go" she said walking off twards AJ's car.
"You are such an asshole" Victoria hissed as AJ unlocked his car.
They all got to Kevin's house.
"Aight" AJ said, "See ya'll at rehearsal"
"Bye"Megan said getting out of the car and walking to the door. She waited for Victoria to open it up before she went up to her room.
"Meg" Vic said
"Yea?"
"It's ok honny, you're not in trouble, you can stay down here"
"No" she said as tears dropped, "I just want to go to my room"
"Come here, sweetie"
Megan walked over to her as Vic wrapped her in a hug, "Why doesn't he like me?" she sobbed
"He does like you"
"No he doesn't. I've only been here for a day and he's already yelled at me and grounded me, and made me feel unwanted. Why doesn't he just give me away?"
They both looked up as Kevin closed the door.
"Go on up to your room" Victoria said softly to Megan. Megan nodded while walking up the stairs.
"What's wrong with her?" Kevin asked
"You are" She said bitterly
"would you stop blaming me for that girls problems!"
"Kevin! If you would get that giant stick outta your ass you'd realize that you're her problem. She hasn't even been here for a a week and you're making her wanna run away."
"I don't wanna talk about this" Kevin groaned walking upstairs.
"Fine, then I'm not sleeping in the same room as you. And until you can treat her right, I'm not talking to you either"
"Oh, come on!"
Vic rolled her eyes while walking up the stairs. She grabbed a pair of PJ's and walked out to the guest room.
"I'll sleep in there" Kevin said before she slammed the door in his face. "Great! just fuckin great!!"Kevin stormed off to his room before slamming the door.

Megan sat in her room crying softly. She looked out of her window and down the balcony. She got up and put some clothes in a bag.
Vic--
I'm so sorry for worrying you but I just can't take it here with
Kevin anymore. I appreciate what you've tried to do for me...but
I just can't stay. I left most of the clothes that you bought for
me...Thanks!

Megan put down the pen and climbed down the balcony. She got to the street and started walking.
~*~about an hour later~*~
"Where the hell am I?" Megan muttered looking around the dark streets. She looked around at a shopping center and saw a pay phone.
"Megan?" She heard a voice say
"Shit" she muttered ignoring it
"Megan!" he said again
She sighed turning around and seeing Nick in his green durango, "What are you doing here?" she moaned
"I'm shopping...the question is...why are you here, and why do you have your bags?"
"I'm not going back to Kevin's" she said looking through a phone book.
"Oh...well where ya goin?"
"I'm gonna catch a bus back to California"
"Sorry to break it to you princess, but they don't go that far."
"Well, I can catch a plane" she said.
"Look, why don't you go with me to my house and we'll figure it out."
"No, you're gonna call Kevin"
"well, I can call him at my house, or I can call him right now" he said taking out his cell phone.
"No, Nick please" she begged.
"come here" he said
She picked up her bag and walked twards his car
"Now get in and we can go back to my place."Nick said getting out and putting her stuff in the back seat.
Megan got in and started out the window.
"So you and AJ seem to be friends already"
"Yea" Megan nodded, "He's really nice"
"Do you wanna go over there?"
"To AJ's?"
"Yea"
"Ummm ok"
Nick took a sharp turn and started driving the other direction. They pulled up to another mansion.
"He has a really nice house"
"Yea" Nick nodded taking out his phone
"Hello?" A female asked
"Hey Mandy, is AJ there?"
"No, not yet" she said, "is that you outside?"
"Yea"
"Well you can come in" she laughed
"K" Nick said hanging up. "Come on"
Megan got out and walked with Nick to the door of the house. They walked in.
"Hey Nick" Amanda smiled, "Ummm Nicky, no offense, but isn't she a little young for you?"
"Retard" Nick laughed, "she's not my girlfriend, she's Kevin's sister"
"Oh" She laughed, "I'm Amanda, Aj's girlfriend"
"Hi" Megan smiled
"So what are you guys here for?" she asked
"Ohh..."Nick started
"Manda!" Aj called coming in, "Oh hey guys"
" sup" Nick said. He told AJ about Megan
"You could stay here if you want"AJ said
"I can?"
Yeah, of course"
"Well, are you gonna tell Kevin about me?"
"Well, I think I have to just because I want him to know that you're ok"
"ok" She nodded, "what if he makes you take me back?"
"He wont" AJ assured picking up the phone and dialing Kevin's number
"Hello?" Kevin asked
"Hey Kev, Megan's over here"
"What! how did she get there?" He exclaimed
"I dunno, I just came home and she and Nick were here"
"Let me talk to her"
"Maybe that's not a good idea"
"I said let me talk to her"
"ok" AJ said handind Megan the phone.
"H..Hello?" She asked quietly
"Why are you there and not in your room?"Kevin half yelled making Megan jump.
"I'm sorry"
"You'd better be" he growled, "Get your stuff, I'm on my way"
"Please don't be mad at me"
"Do you want me to be happy that you ran away from my house and you're making everybody feel sorry for you!"
"Well,Do you want me to be happy that I'm a fuckin sixteen year old who just lost both of my parents and has to come live with her god-bother who I don't know?!? And then when I get here he treats me like shit because he thinks he's all high and mighty cause he's a fuckin backstreet boy! Fuck you Kevin! And your money and your house!"She screamed hanging up the phone.
"Well...." AJ started, "That was interesting"
"He said he's coming to get me" She said sitting on the couch.
"I'm sorry" AJ said, "But I can't do anything about it"
"I know" she sighed, "you don't think he'll hit me do you?"
"of course not" Amanda said, "He's not gonna yell that much"
Megan nodded and sat quietly until she heard a knock on the door.
"Shit" She whinned as AJ got up and walked to the door.
"Hey" he said opening the door and letting Kevin in.
"Hey" Kevin said, "Hey Meg, let's go"
She stood up and walked outside past him.
"Bye guys" he said following her out. He unlocked his door and let her in. Her got in the drivers side and drove to his house, "What did you wanna do for your birthday?"
"Nothing" She said
"I guess you could go get your license then hang out with Vic and the other girlfriends"
"Ok" she nodded as they pulled into his gated house.
